My First Time to have my Pap Smear

Hello, Hello Everyone! I just celebrated my birthday 2 weeks ago, and I posted this:

I felt really happy and healthy posting that on my Facebook account but on the next day, I suddenly felt that I have a Urinary Tract Infection. It is not good having this very painful infection and almost all of my close friends know that I struggle with it for years. My doctor said that I have a short urethra than normal that's why I easily get the infection and because i am sexually active so the more I am prone. Believe me when me and my husband do our best to prevent this in terms of hygiene but no matter what I still catch this infection.

Because I am a nurse, I get easily paranoid about my situation and keep on researching on how to improve my health situation. Upon searching, I realized I may have Interstitial Cystitis which is a chronic illness. I was super scared! So I decided to go to a UROGYNE and he gave me an antibiotic and suggested a Transvaginal Ultrasound and a Pap Smear. Aside from the Urinalysis and the Ultrasound for the Kidney, Ureters and Bladder. EEEEkkkk! I was really having anxiety because I hate having exams like that. I am a really strong person but a scaredy cat in terms of health exams or surgical operations! Also, I only have 1 partner in the last 12 years and I also had my Cervical Cancer Vaccine 5 years ago. So I hope I am healthy!

I was really struggling and I told my doctor, that I will go to my super close OBGYNE Dr. Fuentes for my Pap Smear.

It took me two weeks to have strength to have my Pap smear! I even dreamed of it two nights ago! I keep on texting my close girlfriends and family to give me strength and confidence.

AAAHHHHH!!! But as a mother of two and a wife of my Eric Z, I need to be healthy for them.
So I tried to remove my anxiety and I went to the doctor to have my peace of mind.

I may add: Thank You internet for making me paranoid. I will put sites here that made me super paranoid!

If you want to know about Pap Smear here is a picture:

A Pap smear, also called a Pap test, is a screening procedure for cervical cancer. It tests for the presence of precancerous or cancerous cells on the cervix. The cervix is the opening of the uterus.
During the routine procedure, cells from your cervix are gently scraped away and then examined for abnormal growth. The procedure is done at your doctor’s office. It may be mildly uncomfortable, but doesn’t usually cause any long-term pain.
Keep reading to learn more about who needs a Pap smear, what to expect during the procedure, how frequently you should have a Pap smear test, and more.

Here I am in the doctor's clinic being scared. Just messaging my closest friends who know about my situation.
When my doctor arrived, we had a nice talk about it and I hope to not have negative results. She assured me that everything will be fine and I can do it!

So I can describe the feeling as slightly uncomfortable and I feel ticklish in my cervix and bizarre (ngilngig in bisaya)
It took us 2 minutes to finish the procedure.

I am just super happy that I am done and I can do any prevention needed. I am just super happy that my husband was holding my hand the whole time of the procedure and I was getting my strength from him the whole time.

Here I am looking really happy that it was done. After the procedure I felt a feel of  soreness in my cervix and a little bit of cramping but after an hour I was fine.

So, if you are a scaredy cat like me, I would suggest that to have you Pap Smear done because it is okay and everything will be just fine.

Prevention is better than cure. Naks!
